Google SOC Regional Operations Manager in Hamina, Finland

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5 years of experience leading operational or project based work and tasks, and coordinating or managing resources for

Security Operations Centers.

  • 5 years of experience managing, sourcing, or procuring business resources and vendors.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience managing technical and non-technical groups to drive business outcomes.

  • Global operational experience in multiple countries and cultures.

  • Experience with security technologies including CCTV, Access Control, and Incident Management Systems.

  • Excellent people management and leadership skills, with experience leading multi-disciplinary teams in a complex international environment.

  • Track record in managing security operations and security personnel and delivering high quality, customer-oriented security programs.

  • Ability to lead projects by navigating priorities, measurable objectives, dependencies, planning, resourcing, scheduling, budgeting, implementation, and subsequent monitoring.

As a Security Operations Center (SOC) Services Regional Operations Manager, you drive the day-to-day outcomes of key SOC infrastructure through technical contributions. You use your deep knowledge of SOC processes, operations, and local laws to develop and lead programs that align with regional or global strategy in order to gain efficiency while managing SOC Services Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) assigned to them.

In this role, you partner with external industry leaders and collaborate with upper management and cross-functional teams to discuss project prioritization, and resource allocation. You also demonstrate the behaviors expected of all Googlers as captured in Google's cultural pillars, and you engage in community contributions to improve and sustain our culture, making Google a better place to work.

  • Lead SOC Operations by providing strategic, technical, and operational oversight. Lead SOC teams during crisis and incident response and coordinate with other parts of Cloud Shared Responsibility Model (CSRM) and the SOC Services ecosystem as required.

  • Be a core leader within the Regional Leadership team and have the knowledge and capability to respond to global events in support of other CSRM leaders.

  • Support in building out our Security Operations Program to meet scaling business needs, to include program updates, and procedures.

  • Be an integrated member of the CSRM leadership team supporting the delivery of regional strategy.

  • Partner with CSRM regional cross-functional leaders, track regional trends and risks to ensure the SOC Services ecosystem has the capability to meet demands.
