Are you known for your attention to detail and ability to solve complex quality problems? This may be the position for you! As a Quality Engineer I, you'll ensure all quality standards are met for our products and production equipment. You'll participate in the designing and testing of our processes, mechanisms, and equipment, and development of standardized quality acceptance criteria. You'll write inspection procedure, assist in reviewing and evaluating in-process rejections, obtain disposition, and implement corrective action as needed, as well as participate in audits. You'll use your technical responsibilities to conduct our projects involving the design and development of new evaluation and control processes utilizing statistical analysis and other control/risk mitigation techniques.

Must-haves:

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field and typically 0-2 or more years of relevant experience

•Higher education may substitute for relevant experience

•Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education

•Familiarity with Quality System requirements and contract quality requirements

•Basic understanding of manufacturing and inspection

•Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics, parts lists, specifications, instructions, and test procedures

•General knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards

Preferred:

•Experience in the aerospace and defense industry, specifically aircraft maintenance and modification.

•Knowledge and experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

•Experience with Metrology

•Experience with Quality Control equipment such as hand tools or Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM). Especially ROMER Arms and/or Innovmetric PolyWorks Inspector

•ISO 9001 or AS9100 Auditor Certification

•Lean Six Sigma Certification

•Experience with audits from Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Defense Contractor Management Agency (DCMA), or a registrar auditing to ISO 9001 or AS9100

Travel:

•Travel is expected on occasion, particularly to visit suppliers and customers or support field events. No more than 5%.
