Job Summary :

Position’s main focus will be testing of a Software product which is intended to be used for configuration of power management devices. The candidate should Enrich & foster climate of innovation to drive growth & accelerate capability development. This includes:

• Perform product testing & technology innovation (Desktop / Web API/ Web Apps) by understanding product requirements, design & develop test architectures for testing feature enhancements and implementation of world class high performance enterprise grade software applications for electrical products using technologies like C# .Net, WPF, Python

• Lead Project, process, and overall technical execution on software testing activities as a part of product development.

• Collaborate with global product engineering teams and perform software testing activities during project execution.

• Perform technical reviews of test strategy and test framework development

• Train, develop and motivate colleagues on technical aspects demonstrating ‘Right to Left’ thinking (starting with consideration for end user).

• Continuously explore ways to improve test coverage and automate the tests to improve testing efficiency and in turn product quality.

• Hands-on expertise in C# .Net/WPF/MVVM based enterprise software applications and test scripting using Python.

• Hands-on experience in identifying test cases and creating test suites (both manual and automation test cases) for testing enterprise grade softwares using standard test automation frameworks such as Ranorex or similar.

• Experience in testing Designs like SOA, etc.

• Experience in testing of SOAP/REST, WCF/Web APIs services.

• Experience in working in Agile Team

• Having exposure to FDT Technology will be an added advantage.

• Experience in working on Fieldbus protocols will be added advantage.

• Able to configure embedded software systems and test graphical user interface (GUI) on multiple platforms such as laptop, hand-held devices or web portals that allow user-friendly (re)configuration of control systems. Should have worked with fieldbus communication protocols at application side.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, particularly with respect to written and oral communication, including the ability to explain technical concepts.

• Sound Knowledge and experience with process frameworks (e.g. CMMI) including requirements management, defect tracking, build management, change management, and configuration management tools

• Experience collaborating with local / global suppliers for Hardware/Software procurement, building test lab setups etc.

• Software FMEA

• Excellent communications skills. A high degree of aptitude, creativity is required.

Desired:

• Good to have knowledge of FDT 3.0 framework. • Responsible for test activities for firmware testing for PLC Based Industrial/Home Automation Control Systems.

Qualifications:

• B.E. Electrical / Electronics / Electronics & Telecommmunications

• 6-9 years experience in Software Testing

• Bachelor’s / Master’s in Electrical / Computer Science / Electronics/ E&TC engineering with 2-4 years of experience in SW testing for electrical industrial products.

Skills:

• Experience with any standard test automation framework

• Knowledge of scripting language, preferably C# / Python Knowledge of testing Software solutions for industrial products industrial protocols like Modbus serial, Modbus TCP, PROFINET etc.

• Knowledge of testing with network protocols like FTP, HTTP, TCP, UDP, IP, Ethernet and industrial protocols like Modbus TCP/Serial

• Experience with creating Requirements Traceability Matrix, Process Documents, Test Plans

• Knowledge of Coding Best Practices, Object Handling and Error Handling.

• Hands on experience in automated test case design, pseudo code development, scripting and various functional and non-functional testing types.

• Well versed in using hardware and software tools for test development Proficient with test configuration management, test artefact version control processes and testing tools.

• Experience of working with Atlassian tools such as JIRA, Confluence, JAMA and Github.

• Presentation skills, Handle Stakeholder Communication, Process Definition.
