What you’ll do:

PCS-Digital team is looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer to spearhead the test automation engineering activities for software applications. This person will define test strategy, develop test plans and procedures to verify functionality of our Application Software. We are looking for motivated professionals with strong experience of leading in software testing and good communication skills who will play a key role in verifying and validating the next-generation technology solutions that improves how users connect, explore, and interact with information and devices.

• Defines test strategy, develops detailed test plans, specifications, test cases, and test data sets that validate functional, performance, load test requirements and update existing test procedures based on requirement changes and test analysis

• Develops, executes, and maintains extendable manual & automated tests

• Designs and implements robust, scalable, high quality Test Automation Suites within a Continuous Integration and Deployment environment to improve quality and productivity of functional, regression, and system tests.

• Leads and participates in project-wide reviews of requirements, system architecture, and detailed design documents; interacts with Management, Architects, and other Leads in a one-to-one or one-to-many meeting format.

• Analyze test results, and identify, document, and report root causes for test failures by working with the development team and the defect tracking system.

• Communicates technical concepts and information to internal staff/peers and stakeholders; strong verbal, documentation, and interpersonal communication skills required.

• Identifies opportunities for process, tools, and test methodology improvements, and drives those from concept to implementation.

• Generate ideas and innovative solutions which will provide competitive edge to business products.

• Develop, Review and Sign off work package consisting of documentation like design verification test plans etc.

• Develop design guidelines, best practices and lessons learnt documents and shares with peers and team.

• Estimate work load, establish and maintain project schedules and monitor progress through the project execution phases

• Ability to drive QA test automation with a team of engineers both locally and remote.

• Search for technologies which would improve product performance, reduce development time or reduce cost.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in engineering in Computer Science/Electronics/Electrical

• 5+ years of experience in Verification & Validation (Manual/Automation testing) of industrial software applications

• 2+ years in leading Manual/Automation test activities, assigning and reviewing tasks and work.

• Proven test development experience in test scripting programming languages.

• Proven test automation experience on desktop and/or web applications in Renorex or UFT or Selenium with Java/C#/Python etc

• Experience in test management tool like Zephyr &/or Jama is an added advantage.

• Experience with communication protocols will be a plus like Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP & Serial communication.

• Experience in planning, designing, and implementing testing strategies and automation infrastructure for complex products involving latest technologies in more than 2 projects.

Skills:

• Plan, organize and lead independent validations of Industrial software products following Agile framework.

• Understands product requirements, mentor test engineers to design and develop verification plan, module level and system level test cases for software/firmware applications. Responsible for releasing defect free products to field.

• Participates in technical reviews including architectural & detailed global design reviews for product validations. Demonstrate courage to escalate & speak up on issues

• Leads creation and defining test plans and developing manual/automated test cases & its execution, for application software for real time controls at system level.

• Proficient experience of Source Control software and Code Collaboration tools (GitHub, Bitbucket, SVN, etc.); experience with Issue and Project Tracking software (JIRA, TFS, etc.).

• Proficient in Data Driven, Keyword driven & Hybrid testing approaches.

• Experience developing software testing harness/tools for Linux environments and Windows applications; experience writing integration tests for Continuous Integration and Deployment frameworks.

• Demonstrate understanding of automation frameworks for testing the products in cloud/IOT environment.

• Train, develop & motivate test engineers and build strong validation team.

• Drives CI culture & functional excellence by exploring latest test & validation techniques, strategies, tools/ test frameworks to deploy CI/CD. "

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Problem solving skills, Working in ambuiguity, process management.

• Experience working with global teams and driving the projects for high customer satisfaction.

• A high degree of aptitude, creativity, and self-direction is required. Work independently to tight deadlines.
