Eaton Corporation Engineering Manager - Electrical Design in Hadapsar, India

  • The Engineering Manager PDCA ETO will be a key member of the team driving the growth to the business. The position will lead the Application engineerin of few of the PDCA productline by effectively leveraging industry standard best practices. This position will also work verly closely with NPI, Sustaining and VAVE team. We are looking for motivated professionals with strong skills in technical leadership along with excellent communication and collaboration skills."

  • Lead a team of 12+ members working in Application engineering and supporting NPI, Costout, Innovation, etc.

  • Lead the team to execute the customer orders, maintain the OTD, and quality metrics. Also drive the team for high productivity by training, process Automation,etc.

  • Drive the Application engineering / Engineert to Order / Requisition engineering team for higher productivity through the process automation, tool implementation, skill development, etc.

  • Hands on experience in Managing team working on electrical design by using Auto CAD Electrical, E-Plan, etc.

  • Coach, develop and grow the next line of leader including front line managers, lead engineers, Sr.Engineers.

  • Work with global Product engineering Manager to develop the strategies, execute projects to meet the profitability and revenue target.

  • Shape Focus area and build portfolio that matters. Define clear road map for next 3 - 5 years and execute action items to mitigate identified gaps. Leverage EIIC ecosystem for validation to accelerate time to market.

  • Define Digitalization strategy for various products considering competitor landscape working closely with Electrical Sector COE's and Digital organization.

  • Build culture of innovation through planned events, drive brain storming events. Identify opportunities for filling disclosures and execute division goals for IP.

Qualifications:

Requirement:

  • Bachelors/Masters in Electrical

  • 10-12 years of hands-on experience in Managing multi decipline team such as Electical, Mechanical team. Minimum 4+ years in leadership, people management role.

Skills:

Skills :

  • Experience in Managing Application engineering team with a proven track record of delivering high quality solutions to customers. Should have supported NPI, VAVE teams in the past

  • Driving the Innovation culture, Process improvement, Costout focus, Smart solution to the electrical products, etc.

  • Develop a electro mechanical team from scratch, identify the skills set requirement, develop a long term strategic plan for medium and low voltage product portfolio.

  • DMAIC 6 Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, E-Plan

  • Very good understanding of Eaton switchgear product portfolio, knowlege of competitor products, various smart solutions relvant to medium and low voltage switchgear.

  • Excellent skills in delegation, decision making, sets clear objectives to the team, measures & strives for continuous improvement.

  • Developing direct reports – provides challenging assignments and creates opportunities; constructs compelling development plans and executes them.

  • Business acumen – knows how business work; knowledgeable in current and possible future technologies; knows the competition.
