Requirement of this position is to perform testing and provide assistance to engineering personnel to setup, install and on-time completion of accurate product testing in accordance with specific test procedures as defined by the product engineering function at eMobility Group engineering divisions globally. The position requires to:

a) Perform test setups in completion of specific and standard test processes for eMobility products. Person supporting for installation and commissioning of new test facilities for invertor and high voltage power distribution systems for electric vehicles.

b) Complete test requests according to specified test requests with minimal down time

c) Implementation of corrective action to test setups as required by established lab procedures or test requests, or when performance falls below acceptable limits

d) Communicate test programs with engineering appropriately to clarify purpose of testing and the results of ongoing tests

e) Take ownership of small projects, develop custom fixtures & continuously improve their skill set

f) Maintain close liaison with other technicians to standardize lab practices within group and with other groups in facility to ensure a safe working environment

g) Maintain close liaison with other technicians to standardize lab practices within product group and with other groups to complete test projects with a high degree of quality and efficiency

h) Maintain a clean and safe working environment in the test lab that is a showpiece for customer visits. Continually work to improve the presentation of the lab for this purpose

i) Strive to meet test lab performance targets established in balanced score card and ensure ISO/IATF compliance.

As a responsible critical position to ensure equipment uptime this position requires to:

1. Preferred to have experience in handling eMotor dyno, High voltage (1000V) battery emulator DC loads and measurement of power, voltages, current signatures for emobility products.

2. Troubleshooting elementary product and test rig issues, and performing data analysis required by the product group.

3. Support Installation and commissioning of High power electrical test facilities and utilities

4. Understanding of data acquisition systems, hardware and software that are being used for testing

5. Ability to fix any minor issues with test rigs and lab and work with his peer engineer to improve or develop any new methods solving the issues

6. Work with engineers to define and perform custom testing. Perform test setups based on specific and standard test processes for electric vehicle Powertrain.

Qualifications:

• Degree with min 1-3 year of relevant test experience

• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in relevant hands on experience in Automotive R&D Testing / Analysis / in electrical domain is essential

Skills:

• Awareness of testing i.e. test rigs, data acquisition, inspection etc – dynos, Battery emulators, DC loads

• Awareness and experience in following Safety & Quality Management Practice

• Experience on fault identification and propose corrective actions

Clear understanding about sensors, electronic components of DAQ & control software i.e. LabVIEW etc.

• Experience in problem solving & continuous improvement through LEAN tool deployment for test equipment utilization and cost savings

• Proven experience in deploying TPM for R&D lab test equipment machinery and experience in ISO 9001:2008, deployment to meet quality objectives

• Awareness in Systems engineering, Requirements Management, Validation, Verification and Certification of Auto / Electrical domain

Specialized Knowledge

Describe any specialized knowledge (e.g. technical, scientific, administrative) that your position requires.

• Experience in working in HV

• Lean/DMAIC certified

• Experience with Systems engineering tools - MATLAB/Simulink tools, IBM Jazz Tools
