Oracle DW/ETL Developer in GURUGRAM, India

Job Description

As part of the Global Sales Operations department, the person will be responsible for data warehouse design and ETL development used to support the multiple lines of business (LOBs) within Oracle.This is a phenomenal opportunity to interact with a wide range of people, nationalities, and cultures and to gain technical exposure to the latest Oracle products. BACKGROUND Global Sales Operations is responsible for supporting the Sales organization worldwide in terms of processes, business analysis, reporting, and technical solutions. The Sales Tools and Reporting team is responsible for the reporting infrastructure for the sales organization. This also involves designing, implementing, and maintaining certain ad hoc internal web-based applications that the business needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES :Understand the sales business model and be able to turn requests from internal customers into reports or solutions that meet their needs.Participate in the design and architecture of the data modelLiaise with other members of the team to coordinate the development of new projects.Investigate new directions to provide technical solutions to the problems faced by the business.Draft and maintain user documentation, and contribute to creating manuals and documentation for the users.Provide technical support to internal customers (sales directors and managers, business analysts, and sales reps) on existing and new tools and systems. Resolve bugs and issues.Keep pace with the development of Oracle Products. Assess their relevance to group operations. Propose upgrades. Investigate alternative tools and solutions.

PROFILE :

Technical :

  • University degree or diploma (or equivalent).

  • Experience with SQL, data modeling, and database programming (PL/SQL or equivalent) is necessary

  • Data-warehousing experience is preferred

  • Oracle Application Express (APEX) is a plus

  • Data warehousing tool exposure is a plus

  • Knowledge of any business intelligence platform would be an advantage

  • Familiarity with translating business requirements into technical solutions

Non-Technical :

  • Excellent communication skills. Fluency in English is required. (English is the working language.)

  • Ability to work in an environment that involves remote interaction with other team members, internal customers, and users.

  • Analyze, design, develop, solve, and debug software programs for commercial or end-user applications. Writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will perform high-level design based on provided external specifications. Specify, design, and implement minor changes to existing software architecture. Build highly complex enhancements and resolve sophisticated bugs. Build and implement unit tests and unit plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering as vital to discuss minor product functionality changes and ensure quality and consistency across specific products.

Duties and tasks are varied and sophisticated, needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise.

May have a project lead role and/or supervise lower-level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to the functional area 4 years of software engineering or related experience.Diversity and Inclusion:
