A Day in the Life

Processing the incentive payout on time every month accurately is an important purpose of this job. The incumbent is responsible for calculating & analyzing results of payouts for the Sales personnel across APAC countries. The incumbent assists with ensuring plans are in compliance with the schemes and Policy of the company.

The incumbent will need to build a solid understanding of each business unit’s sales process and products and work in partnership with HR Operations, Total Rewards, Finance as well as Sales Leaders.

Provide expertise to key stakeholders on the construct of incentive schemes across the businesses. The person would also make analysis and provide insights to the Business heads on deployment strategies

Operational excellence

Gain and maintain a thorough understanding of incentive plans, source data and business structure. Provide inputs on the possible incentive structure suitable for the Region.

Ensure Sales target letters are clearly documented and accepted by each individual.

Develop process map to support plan requirements and execution. Communicate the plan to key stakeholders

Document, manage any claim / disputes

Calculate sales incentives per the plans and policies to ensure incentive calculations are done accurately and in a timely manner.

Calculate monthly accruals for SIP payout

Work closely with HR functions and Distribution teams to ensure correctness of data.

Share with the BU heads & Country Head the analysis of the SIP payoff and the impact and Insights on P&L

Process and Productivity improvements

Develop and lead projects that continuously improve productivity and enterprise excellence

Drive process improvements

Execute feasibility studies where necessary to determine compatibility between systems Channel connect etc.) and timely delivery of data

Carry out survey / dipsticks where necessary to study scenarios. Analyze survey data and make recommendations for program design and modifications

Work closely with the Rewards team and help in formulating Sales Incentive Plans that can improve the productivity of the Business

Formulate and communicate new ideas and suggestions that will improve profitability and efficiency for the company’s overall position

Analytical expertise

Validate sales data for accuracy

Have a schedule to provide needed analytics to key stakeholders

Prepare data for analysis and reports

Work with key Managers to review and analyze market changes and create recommendations for program design enhancements

Monitor incentive payouts to identify potential fraud or misuses of plans

Required Knowledge and Experience: Requires practical knowledge and demonstrated competence within job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.

Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)( 4)(iii)(A) and minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 0 years of experience.

Education Qualification

Bachelor in Business / Commerce

Masters in Commerce / MBA

A total of at least 2-6 years (or more) in sales/Operations

Nice to have

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Hyperion

Deep interest in analyzing data and the ability to see beyond the numbers to report patterns.

Possess high level of integrity. Be widely trusted, direct and truthful, with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships and gain confidence

Solutions and client service-oriented, with an emphasis on problem solving

Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and work well in an environment with competing demands

Ability to work in a team environment with a high sense of urgency

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to work with large data sets from multiple sources
