Copeland Human Resource Manager in GUADALAJARA, Mexico

As a HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER, YOU WILL:

  • Participate in the development and integration of human resource programs and initiatives to achieve strategic business goals and operational objectives. This includes maintenance of the HR manual and a strong focus on policy administration to assure solid performance within the HR department and provide best in class service to the employees in the facility.

  • Responsible for complying with all standards required by law, plant certifications and corporate requirements. Maintain appropriate documentation and participate in audits. Examples included administrating NOM 035, complying with ISO 9001-2015 requirements, managing the required procedures to fulfill the security programs in the supply chain according to C-TPAT and NEEC, monitoring compliance to our ethics program and conflict of interest policies and be familiar with governmental regulations regarding social security, tax regulations and all related matters encompassing HR and Labor relations.

  • Manage relationship with the union and represent the company in collective bargaining negotiations. Calculate and evaluate the cost of contract agreement for budget planning process. Administer the salary and benefit programs by conducing market research and completing analysis of current and future proposals. Maintain budgets and relationships with current and future vendors/consultants.

  • Gather and analyze data to report on key metrics including attrition, headcount projections and employee engagement scores. Work with leadership team to implement initiatives to improve metrics and make recommendations that will assist in developing and retaining top talent.

  • Responsible for the full employee life cycle from recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, development and offboarding. Ensure performance management, career path development and succession planning are being administered by the leadership team by partnering with them and working collaboratively to ensure employees have job satisfaction and opportunities for personal growth.

  • Responsible for overall HR Operations and the maintenance, management, and adherence to the Global HRIS system. Ensure data integrity is maintained and the team is cross-trained in the functionality of the HRIS system.

  • Champion the Safety-first culture, work to build recognition programs and ensure health, safety and security procedures are developed and implemented.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCES & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, industrial relations, or related area of study

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Human Resource Management

  • Knowledge and Understanding of the Federal Labor Law, Social Security Law, INFONAVIT and other Mexican regulations.

  • Understanding of EHS and security principles

  • Union experience

  • 100% Bilingual Spanish / English

  • Ability to work in a cross-functional, matrix structure while managing competing priorities

  • Strong communication skills with a focus on providing best in class service to employees

  • Maintaining confidentiality and high level of attention to detail

  • Continuous improvement mindset regarding processes and culture
