Description

My client is a rapidly growing Real Estate Investment and Property Management company looking for a Property Accountant to sit out of their new Denver office! This Property Accountant position offers a long term hybrid schedule, incredible benefits, and is paying up to $75K + bonus!

The Property Accountant will be responsible for the following:

• Managing and overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations for a portfolio of properties.

• Preparing monthly internal and external property and portfolio financial statements

• Reviewing and approving G/L journal entries including re-classes, accruals and recurring journal entries

• Reviewing & approving fixed asset & major expense classifications

• Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets

• Reconciling balance sheet accounts

• Reviewing and approving property bank reconciliations

• Submitting monthly and quarterly draw requests

Requirements

Requirements for the Property Accountant include:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related

• 3+ years of full cycle accounting experience (public accounting works!)

• Property accounting experience is highly desired

• Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills

• Experience using Yardi or a similar Property Management system is highly desired
