Robert Half is seeking a Property Accountant for our client! This is a great opportunity to get a foot in the door with a long standing and stable real estate firm based in south Denver. The company has excellent leadership, a strong team in place, and is growing at a steaady

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.

• 3+ years of recent experience in real estate accounting.

• Preferably, previous experience in a commercial real estate firm.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for assigned properties.

• Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts for assigned properties.

• Post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments as necessary.

• Manage cash flow for assigned properties, including monitoring bank accounts and reconciling discrepancies.

• Process and review accounts payable and receivable transactions.

• Lease Administration:

• Review and analyze lease agreements to ensure accurate billing and compliance.

• Assist in the preparation of property tax returns and other relevant tax compliance documents and coordinate with external tax consultants as needed.

• Conduct financial analysis on property performance, trends, and potential risks.

• Support internal and external audit processes by providing requested documentation and explanations.

• Address audit findings and implement corrective actions as needed.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including property management, to achieve financial objectives.

Software Proficiency:

• Experience with Yardi, MRI, RealPage, or similar software

• Utilize accounting software and systems for financial record-keeping and reporting.

• Stay updated on industry-specific software tools and technologies.
