Charter Communications, Inc. Network Engineer IV in Greenwood Village, Colorado

Charter Communications Inc in Greenwood Village, CO seeks Network Engineer IV to be responsible for securely and safely deploying access into datacenter environments to allow for customer applications to work. Work with junior engineers on best practice applications on their daily business as usual deployments. Facilitate training on the infrastructure of the data center network and to enhance department skills. Lead remediation efforts on requested deployed configurations in which the customer does not have access to application. Educate customers on best business practices for access requests. Design policy and configurations that customers need to better secure and use their application. Live validate and potentially troubleshoot escalated by business need project deployments. Complete data flow matrices to allow customer access for applications. Work with vendors on hardware/software issues that could be prohibiting access. Partner with other Charter verticals on project planning and deployments. Participate in an on-call rotation. Trains junior engineers on processes and procedures. Develops the junior engineers in network structure and troubleshooting. Leads projects that require constant supervision and modifications. Works with security on firewall rules from a global and local perspective to ensure we are secure on the red public facing network. Develops and implements network enhancements to improve stability of the network infrastructure.

Requires: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronic Engineering or a related field. 4 years of experience: using vendor operating systems Including Junos or Cisco OS; utilizing and reviewing technical documentation to implement and assist in designing corporate standards for network infrastructure for Datacenter equipment.3 years of experience: with network architecture and protocols including routing and switching; troubleshooting and configuring in A10 and F5 LBs; troubleshooting and configuring on firewalls.

A hybrid (in office and remote) arrangement is available

Salary depends on geography, experience, and education; negotiations begin at $136198/year.
