Description: Join the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics company as an Aircraft Field Service Engineer (FSE) on our Aeronautics Field Sustainment (AFS) team! This position will support the F-35 Program at our Ghedi AB, Italy location.

This is an accompanied expat position located in Ghedi, Air Base near the town of Ghedi, Italy. We are seeking an experienced F-35 Mission System’s (MS) Field Service Engineer (FSE) who will expatriate under SOFA privileges as a USG “Technical Representative” (TR) to support our Italian AF (ITAF) customer. SOFA USG TR privileges include :SOFA-sponsored driver’s license for Italy, access to US military bases in Italy for base exchange/commissary shopping privileges, access to US military health care facilities in Italy, etc.).

Nose to Tail (NTT) FSE: The preferred candidate will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Avionics/Mission Systems (MS). It is desired that the individual also be an emerging authority in Vehicle Systems (VS) and Supportable Low Observable (SLO), with the skill set to accomplish troubleshooting and analysis of VS, MS, or SLO.

The candidate will act as part of the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Field Sustainment (AFS) technical interface to the ITAF on-site Customer (both Operations and Maintenance) in resolving issues arising from maintenance and modification activities for all matters dealing with the F-35 aircraft.

Must be a United States citizen. Must possess an active Secret Security Clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

The following Basic Qualifications are skills that a candidate must possess to be considered for this position:

•Minimum 7 years total F-35 aircraft experience.

Experience must include minimum of 5 years F-35 Avionics/Mission Systems (MS).

•Minimum 2 years combined Vehicle Systems (VS) and Supportable Low Observable (SLO) experience on 5th Generation fighter aircraft.

Desired Skills:

The following Desired Skills are not required but are those skills that would set a candidate apart from the other candidates:

•Bachelor's Degree

•Previous Field Service Engineer (FSE) experience

•Fault Isolation and problem analysis experience at the sub-system level

•Technical report writing skills

•Experience with drawing/schematics reading and interpretation

•Experience with Engineering tools to include but not limited to PDM, VAS, JEDI, JARVIS and CRE

•Knowledge of CATIA & System/Software Engineering Environment (S/SEE)

•Airframe & Power plant (A&P) license

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
