WELFARE REFORM LIAISON PROJECT INC Deputy Executive Director in Greensboro, North Carolina

Job Summary: The Deputy Executive Director will report to the Executive Director and represent the organization in their absence. The Deputy Executive Director will be responsible for the daily activities of the Program Manager, Warehouse Operations and Special Programs.

Major Accountabilities

  1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of WRLP, Inc./CCA
  2. Plan, obtain and negotiate contracts for required and approved services.
  3. Track progress of strategic planning goals and legal responsibilities.
  4. Oversee management of grants and projects.
  5. Maintain relationships with partners and organizations.
  6. Ensure all operations are performed in compliance with regulations governing the agency.
  7. Ensure the short term and long term working capital and financial management of the organization are adequately addressed.
  8. Ensure maintenance of effective internal controls for the protection of organization assets.
  9. Attend all external or internal training relative to technical expertise or leadership development.
  10. Oversee the annual financial audit process.
  11. Oversee the human resources of the agency ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  12. Oversee the creation and management of operations and programs to ensure compliance with, and implementation of, goals, objectives, policies, reporting and regulatory requirement.
  13. Manage selected projects as assigned.
  14. Ensure fundraising and development proposals are completed and submitted as required.
  15. Assist in developing a high public profile for the agency, including marketing strategies and implementation.
  16. Represent the programs and point of view of the organization to agencies, organizations and the general public.
  17. Maintain a climate which attracts, keep, and motivates a diverse staff of top quality people.
  18. Performs such other duties as incumbent upon the position.
