Job Title: Controls EngineerJob Description

The ideal candidate for this position has a positive attitude, solid work ethic, and enjoys working with others to produce a quality product. You will be responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, and modifying PLC systems. This role requires strong electrical troubleshooting skills, project management experience, and the ability to support 2nd and 3rd shifts when needed. You will also assist maintenance supervisors with machinery issues, support plant safety programs, and contribute to continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives.

Hard Skills

• 5+ years of industrial experience with electrical control systems

• Knowledge of Wonderware

• Ability to write in advanced control system programming

• Design electrical control systems

• Install and troubleshoot AC/DC drives and motors

• Understand and work with relays, contacts, transformers, motor starters, sensors, switches, etc.

• Technical support and software changes of PLC based equipment

• Knowledge and experience programming PLCs (Allen-Bradley, GE, Siemens)

• Experience with HMI Displays

• Electrical troubleshooting skills, 480 Volt Systems

Job Type

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Work Environment

Flexible schedule to support 2nd and 3rd shifts when needed. Hands-on experience in a production atmosphere, including volt meter chasing issues.
