Robert Half Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager in Greensboro, North Carolina

Description We are inviting applications for the role of Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager based in Greensboro, North Carolina. This role is integral to our team, and the successful candidate will be responsible for directing, training, and evaluating accounts payable and job cost data entry personnel. This position also involves managing the accounts payable function, vendor management, and compliance, along with various administrative duties.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage staff responsible for accounts payable and job cost data entry.

• Administer and maintain the Electronic Invoice routing/approval system.

• Manage the check run process, ensuring disbursements are processed in accordance with accounting practices and company policies.

• Oversee the funding of bank accounts for manual checks.

• Take charge of vendor management and compliance, ensuring vendor term discounts are utilized in the accounts payable process.

• Respond to and resolve internal and external inquiries related to accounts payable.

• Handle the 1099 designation process and assist with annual 1099 filing.

• Oversee office administration, including front desk coverage and file storage for the accounting department.

• Conduct month-end reconciliation responsibilities, including resolving reconciling issues.

• Assist with other accounting projects as necessary.

• Utilize accounting software systems effectively and efficiently.

• Demonstrate strong leadership skills in managing and directing the team.

• Ensure accuracy and efficiency in the check processing and discrepancy resolution.

• Manage expense reporting and ensure compliance with company policies.

• Use Sage 300 and other relevant software for managing accounts payable. Requirements • Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager for a minimum of three years

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)

• Demonstrable experience with Check Processing

• Capable of resolving Discrepancy issues effectively

• Proficient in Expense Reporting

• Strong Leadership Skills

• Familiarity with Sage 300 software

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
