Kelly Services CPA / Tax Accountant in Grand Rapids, Michigan

We’re seeking a CPA Tax Accountant! You’ll be responsible for assisting with the maintenance of financial records, processing transactions, and producing financial reports. For this role you must have a CPA certification to be considered.

Key responsibilities of the role may include:

  • Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and reports.

  • Maintaining accurate and up to-date records of financial transactions.

  • Reconciling bank statements and ensuring the accuracy of financial data.

  • Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.

  • Assisting with the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings.

  • Supporting the accounting team with ad-hoc projects and tasks as needed.

The ideal candidate for this position should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field is typically required for this role.

  • Experience in UltraTax CS (Thomson Reuters).

  • Familiarity with the tax code and experience in IRS forms 1040, 1120 & 1065’s

  • Payroll & Bookkeeping

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
