Description

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Bookkeeper. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing month-end tasks, managing accounts payable, and handling billing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Record Keeping:

  • Maintain precise and up-to-date records of financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.

  • Enter financial data into accounting software or ledgers with a high level of accuracy.

  • Month-End Tasks:

  • Perform month-end closing procedures, including reconciling accounts, adjusting journal entries, and preparing financial statements.

  • Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded and categorized for month-end reporting.

  • Accounts Payable:

  • Process accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently.

  • Verify and reconcile invoices with purchase orders and receipts.

  • Prepare and process payments to vendors in a timely manner while adhering to payment terms.

  • Billing:

  • Generate invoices for products or services rendered to clients or customers.

  • Ensure accuracy in billing information, including pricing, quantities, and discounts.

  • Follow up on outstanding invoices and resolve billing discrepancies or issues.

  • Reconciliation:

  • Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies or variances in financial records.

  • Financial Reporting:

  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for decision-making purposes.

  • Communication and Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with other departments, such as finance, operations, and management, to ensure accurate financial reporting and analysis.

  • Communicate effectively with vendors, clients, and internal stakeholders regarding financial transactions and inquiries.

  • Compliance and Audit Support:

  • Assist in ensuring compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.

  • Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
