Reporting & Analytics Director

Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The Ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of our Elevance Health PulsePoint location in Indianapolis IN .

The Reporting & Analytics Director is responsible for planning, directing, and guiding the resources and efforts of the team to achieve company objectives through proficient information management and effective message delivery. This externally facing role requires robust management of consultative relationships with large national accounts, simultaneously driving strategic, evidence-based decision making. The role requires the ability to independently drive national account strategies while proactively identifying and solving complex issues and identifying scalability of solutions down market where appropriate. With a blend of technical capacity (data visualization, data infrastructure), thought leadership, and relationship-building aptitude, the Reporting and Analytics Director will significantly enhance and influence both internal and external stakeholders while harnessing Analytics as a Differentiator in the market

How you will make an impact:

  • Plans, directs, and controls the resources and efforts of reporting and analytics team to accomplish the company objectives through information management.

  • Independently drives data driven and data infrastructure solutions that impact internal and external strategic decision making

  • Identity’s and solves strategic gaps including analytics, product, reporting differentiation and ability to pull through evidence based data

  • Obtains resources (people, funding, material, support) to support business unit information needs and strategic initiatives

  • Provides leadership in motivating core and matrix teams to accomplish reporting and analytics goals and objectives

  • Reports project status and progress to business unit senior management

  • Ensures accuracy and timeliness of output and deliverables for assigned functional areas

  • Implements the policies, practices, and procedures of the company and business units supported

  • Provides input on area budgets notably influencing large national account strategy

  • Establishes relationships with business users both internal and external to the department

  • Oversees entire reporting/analysis/consulting unit or all aspects of a centralized function

  • Partners with senior leadership to establish strategic plans and objectives identifying pilot and scaled solutions

  • Makes final decisions at the business unit level and ensures operations' effective achievement of objectives

  • Coordinates project management for assigned team bridging

  • Ability to communicate with customers about technical issues in non-technical terms –

  • Understands the business processes that the system supports.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires a BA/BS and 10+ years experience leading project teams, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:

  • Deep experience with Large National Accounts

  • Ability to influence executive level decision making

  • Experienced in driving innovation and thought leadership while obtaining executive buy in

  • Knowledge sourcing funding and justifying.

  • Knowledge of IM technologies, organizational structure, and customer information needs strongly preferred

  • Prior leadership or management experience preferred

  • Effective communication skills, including facilitation, consultation, negotiation and persuasion preferred.
