Siemens Industry Inc. is seeking a Health & Safety Site lead at its growing 900+ employee manufacturing facility in Grand Prairie, TX. This person will lead and develop 2 H&S technicians.

The H&S Site Lead is a member of the site leadership team and is responsible for managing health and safety engagement and compliance for the Grand Prairie site. This includes the development, implementation, and coordination of H&S programs that meet OSHA and ISO requirements and drive sustainable culture improvement. This position has a direct impact on Business Unit performance and must possess an in-depth knowledge of Health & Safety regulatory requirements as well as strong interpersonal and leadership skills. The candidate must possess the ability and skills to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.

The H&S Site Manager will serve as a resource to the employees at the location and will provide tools and support to site leadership to achieve Siemens’ H&S goals and objectives.

You will make an impact by:

• Coordinate with the factory’s Leadership Team and Corporate Resources on H&S activities and initiatives

• Organize and lead cross functional teams to achieve H&S goals and objectives and target continuous improvement of all aspects of safety at the site

• Conduct and manage H&S incident investigations, including incident tracking and recordkeeping requirements (internal and external)

• Perform/coordinate industrial hygiene surveys, ergonomic evaluations, air monitoring, noise sampling

• Work in concert with the training department on relevant H&S training programs, including but not limited to Risk Assessment, Personal Protective Equipment, Emergency Response and Hazard Communication including content development and training facilitation.

• Participate in audit activities (internal and external) including identification of H&S issues and driving actions to resolve

• Maintain updated knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations including but not limited to OSHA, NFPA 70E, ANSI, etc.

• Track related Federal, State, and Local regulatory changes known to or that may impact operations

• Interface with regulatory agencies, employees, and outside legal counsel on behalf of business when required, including coordinating business response and/or comments to regulatory changes

• Ensure site conformance with ISO 45001 standards

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

•5+ years H&S experience in an industrial manufacturing environment (i.e. overhead crane operation, electrical equipment testing, ergonomic assessments, etc.) along with experience supervising others.

• Experience with ISO 45001:2018

• Experience managing/leading and implementing occupational safety & health programs (injury reduction, trending, strategic planning, etc.)

• Demonstrated experience working on cross-functional teams as well as leading H&S projects (project management experience)

• Individual must be self-directed with the ability to work with limited direction

• Must have strong verbal and written skills

• Use of MS Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

• Preferred qualifications include ASP and/or CSP

• The pay range for this position is $86,730 - $148,680. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
