Description We are on the lookout for a Purchasing Specialist to join our team in Goleta, California. The Purchasing Specialist will be responsible for handling various tasks related to purchasing and sales, including supplier information gathering, data input, inventory checking, and vendor communication. The role falls within the industry and involves using tools and software like 3M, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, and various Accounting Functions.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently handle communication with suppliers and vendors via email and phone

• Gather and organize information from suppliers to facilitate purchasing processes

• Accurately input data into the company's ERP system

• Utilize Excel for various accounting functions and data management

• Perform additional administrative tasks as needed

• Regularly check inventory in the stockroom and collect data for records

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary

• Process customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency

• Maintain detailed and accurate customer credit records. Requirements • The candidate must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role as a Purchasing Specialist.

• Familiarity with 3M is a necessary requirement for this role.

• Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is essential.

• The candidate must have a solid understanding of Accounting Functions.

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) is a must.

• The candidate should be well-versed in Buying Processes.

• Excellent Communication skills are required for this role.

• Proficiency in Purchasing Functions is essential for this position.
