ABM, a leading provider of integrated facility solutions, is looking for a One Person Plant.

The One Person Plant perform all engineering operations and mechanical/electrical maintenance of the facility under the direction of building management and the ABM Engineering Branch Manager..

The Company may require that the successful candidate hired for this position be fully-vaccinated for COVID-19, if and to the extent permitted by applicable law. The Company will make exceptions for medical, sincerely held religious belief, or other legally required exceptions.

Essential Functions:

• Perform preventive maintenance and repair of HVAC/R equipment as assigned.

• Perform water treatment testing for chillers, cooling towers, boilers as assigned.

• Perform and coordinate preventive maintenance and repair of electrical distribution systems as assigned.

• Perform and coordinate preventive maintenance and repair of Emergency Power and Fire / Life Safety systems as assigned.

• Assist with coordination and supervision of service with third party vendors as required.

• Inspect and maintain mechanical spaces such as electrical room, mechanical and pump rooms, engine rooms for emergency power, etc. as assigned.

• Document and report activities to ABM and Building Management via daily logs and work order system.

• Ability to interact cordially with employees and building tenants to accomplish tasks is essential to this position

• Ability to exercise independent judgment free from immediate supervision in order to manage duties and responsibilities is essential to this position

• Demonstrates high level knowledge of chiller plant operations

• High level experience with EMS and CMMS

• Other duties and responsibilities as requested by Building Management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience that is commensurate with the specific facility for the position of One Man Plant

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints

• As required, highest-level relevant state/local license for Stationary Engineer and/or HVAC, plus universal level refrigerant recovery license

• Computer skills and building automation systems experience required

• Certification meeting OSHA ACM awareness training requirements as required

• Working knowledge of energy conservation required, formal training preferred

• EPA 608 Certified (preferred)

Pay: $35-42 / hourly

The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Shift: Monday through Friday 8 am – 4 pm
