Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Business Analyst to support one of our largest insurance clients. The ideal candidate would sit in Richmond, VA but there is flexibility to travel monthly to one of the following locations (Richmond, VA, Des Moines, or Denver, CO). The ideal candidate will be able to reconcile insurance concepts and data across multiple systems and be technical enough to build SQL scripts to extract useable data. The hourly pay rate for this position is $40-60/hr and based on experience.

Skills and Requirements

* 5+ years of experience in an analytics role

o Ability to structure own analysis starting with a problem statement

o Ability to translate business requirements to data requirements

* Ability to convert analysis to data-drive solutions

* Basic Property and Casualty insurance knowledge

* Proficient in SQL -- comfortable working with structured data and experience with data profiling / discovery

* Innovator / Problem Solver

* Additional must haves: good communication, integrated thinking, autonomous, collaborative

* Experience working in an agile environment

* Previous experience working for an insurance company * AIDA, CPCU, or other designations or exams from the Institutes

* Guidewire experience / expertise

* Experience with Azure null
