KBR Senior Quantity Surveyor in Glasgow, United Kingdom

Title:

Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced and driven Quantity Surveyor to support a major infrastructure programme in Scotland.

The work you do will give you exposure to senior stakeholders and project teams and you will be part of a highly skilled and ambitious team.

As a construction quantity surveyor, you will be responsible for estimating, monitoring, and managing the costs associated with construction projects. You will work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure projects are completed within budget and in compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Your expertise in cost estimation, contract administration, and financial management will be instrumental in the successful execution of construction projects.

Some of your responsibilities will be:

  • Provide commercial advice to the project team

  • Lead the review of compensation events

  • Lead the assessment of the application for payment and forecast to completion

  • Support the weekly and monthly project progress meetings

  • Lead the input of figures and supporting narrative for the monthly Project Management Review (PMR) meeting

  • Prepare any Defined Cost audit queries for the Auditor

  • Provide pre contract support to the project team as and when required population of invitation to tender documents, tender assessment spreadsheets and analysis of tender returns

What We Need

  • An understanding of NEC contract management and familiarisation with CEMAR

  • Support of Early Warnings and compensation events

  • Excellent organisation and engagement skills

We’d like you to be a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS)

Security Requirements

You must have, or be eligible for, SC clearance.

Due to the nature of this project, only British born nationals will be considered.

Location

Hybrid - you will also be required to spend time at the office in Central Glasgow.
