Oracle Senior Oracle ERP PPM and Finance Consultant in GLASGOW, United Kingdom

Job Description

Working as an integral part of a project team, the Senior Oracle ERP PPM Consultant will provide solid functional and technical skills in the implementation of Oracle ERP Cloud (Project Management Cloud Service), backed up by proven hands-on experience, ideally across different industries and clients.

The individual will be expected to be a self-starter, capable of managing individual work packages, contributing to architecture discussions, supporting pre-sales activities and providing thought leadership on how to get the best out of the Oracle applications.

The successful applicant will also be capable of leading UK delivery in the Oracle Applications space when necessary and have a proven track record of consistently excellent delivery. Recognised as an expert and able to contribute to scope, design, configuration and testing in a delivery capacity using Oracle ERP Cloud, the applicant will have the opportunity to work on some of the most high-profile Oracle Financials implementations in the UK.

Responsibilities

Performing varied and complex duties and tasks that need independent judgment, in order to implement Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs. Applying Oracle methodology, company procedures, and leading practices.

Demonstrate expertise to deliver functional and technical solutions on moderately complex customer engagements. May lead the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality, integrated software solutions within constraints of time and budget.

May act as the team lead on projects, providing coaching, guidance and feedback to develop skills of team members.

Effectively consults with management of customer organizations.

Participates in business development activities. Develops and leads detailed solutions for moderately complex projects.

Supports the sales cycle by preparing customer estimates, leading customer discovery sessions, contributing to scope and architecture discussions, answering customer questions and preparing written proposals for customers.

Skills and experience:

A proven track record of end-to-end delivering Oracle Financials. A minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience with Oracle Financials Cloud Service or e-Business Suite across at least 3 full project life cycles. A detailed knowledge of the Oracle Projects Cloud suite of products to advise and guide customers on implementation and integration of the Oracle applications with reference to Oracle’s Modern Best Practice processes, maximizing use of out-of-the box applications. Ideally an expert within the following modules:

  • Project Costing

  • Project Control

  • Project Billing

And ideally exposure to some or all of the following modules:

  • Project Management, Resource Management

  • Time and Labour

  • Grants Management

  • Accounts payable/receivable

  • Fixed Assets

  • General Ledger

  • Purchasing, Self-service Procurement

  • Expenses

Having the ability to present proposals and business process information to both technical and business audiences, preparing and delivering briefings and presentations for project teams, management and customers as appropriate.

  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills

  • Professional presentation

  • Able to work autonomously with minimal supervision and as a member of a team

  • Good project planning/management skills

  • Full travel mobility

Desirable Skills:

  • Multi-national financial experience.

  • Preferably certified in Oracle or another recognised third party discipline.

  • An Accounting Qualification, CIMA, ACCA, AAT etc.
