Field Industrial Engineer ​

What are we looking for?

The Field industrial engineer reports to our New Equipment Field activity and will be based in our factory in Gien (France).

As a Field industrial engineer , you will have in charge:

• Methods design for New Equipment (NE) & Bex & Service activities:

• Continuous improvement and document them

• Method testing on test tower and job-site

• Ensure the thought methods are aligned with our Safety Standards (WWJSSS) and work on jobsites

• Harmonize different installation methods within Otis world

• Include Field requirements in ATOR (Agreed Terms of Reference) and ensure that the field requirements are met

• Interface between Engineering & Field at each step of the Product Development Process (PDP)

• Ensure design team collaboration for layouts, wiring diagrams (WD), parameters…

• Ensure most efficient time / Gaining efficiency on jobsites

• Measure & ensure estimated time is well applicable on site. Go on jobsites to meet users and get their needs

• Communicate with mechs & Field Operations Department (FOD) leads about new findings, updates

• Deal with Field Turn Backs (FTBs)

To be successful in this role :

• Hold an engineering degree

• English speaking (French would also be appreciated)

• Safety oriented

• Methods softs (i.e.: CREO Parametric, Altova, Arbortex)

• Good space vision and detect possible problems in 2D and 3D drawings is an advantage

• Be innovative to ease and make Field more efficient

• Ability to bring all needs together and implement the best solution applicable to all countries

• Quality standards, norms and regulations

• Collaborative communication and work with Engineering / Factories and the Field community (many countries)

• Have a sense of service / Team spirit (working in project mode)

• Be autonomous, proactive and customer oriented

• Knowing time measurement methods (i.e.: Bedaux or MTM) is an advantage
