Job Summary:

The Wellness Suite Supervisor ensures the delivery of treatments and the smooth operation of the spa while guaranteeing high-quality services tailored to an upscale clientele. They manage and motivate the team, oversee the maintenance of facilities, and ensure an exceptional guest experience in line with the luxury standards of the establishment (LQA & Forbes).

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Operational Management of the Wellness Suites:

  2. Oversee all daily spa operations.

  3. Ensure the implementation and compliance with treatment protocols, hygiene standards, and internal procedures related to the Marriott International group.

  4. Supervise equipment and facility maintenance to guarantee a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

  5. Participate in defining treatment offerings and developing treatment menus in collaboration with the brand and the Director of rooms.

  7. Client Reception and Care:

  8. Welcome clients with courtesy and professionalism.

  9. Identify clients' needs and advise on appropriate treatments and services.

  10. Prepare the treatment environment and explain procedures to clients.

  11. Handle guest calls and emails according to Ritz Carlton Standards.

  12. Ensure that each guest receives a personalized and exceptional spa experience.

  13. Address guest concerns, inquiries, and feedback in a professional manner to guarantee client satisfaction.

  14. Treatment Delivery:

  15. Perform treatments according to the brand protocols and those related to the Marriott International group, LQA and Forbes standards.

  16. Adapt treatment techniques based on individual needs and the protocols defined by the establishment and the brand.

  17. Ensure strict adherence to hygiene and safety standards.

  18. Wellness Suites Space Maintenance:

  19. Ensure strict compliance with hygiene and safety standards.

  20. Conduct inventory of products and equipment, and report any restocking needs.

  21. Sales and Promotions:

  22. Promote spa services and encourage bookings for future treatments.

  23. Advise and sell the spa brand's products.

  24. Collaboration:

  25. Work closely with hotel teams (front desk, reservations, housekeeping, etc.).

  26. Team Management:

  27. Assist with staff recruitment, training, and evaluation of staff.

  28. Train the team to LQA, and Forbes standards.

  29. Organize team schedules to optimize productivity and service efficiency.

  30. Foster a positive and motivating work environment conducive to service excellence.

  31. Conduct regular meetings to inform and motivate the team.

  32. Client Management:

  33. Ensure a personalized and high-quality welcome for spa clients according to LQA and Forbes standards.

  34. Handle complaints and special requests, providing suitable and prompt solutions following internal procedures.

  35. Ensure client satisfaction and encourage loyalty.

  36. Promote the spa's products and services to clients.

  37. Promote the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program.

  38. Administrative and Financial Management:

  39. Assist in monitoring the spa's financial performance according to hotel standards.

  40. Manage product stocks, place orders, and ensure efficient usage.

  41. Prepare reports as per requested by hotel management.

  42. Wellness Suites Marketing Development:

  43. Assist with the promotion of spa services, events, and special offers to attract new clients and retain existing ones.

  44. Collaborate with the spa owner or marketing team to develop local marketing strategies and partnerships.

Skills and Qualifications Required:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience as a spa therapist, with a minimum of 1-2 years in a leadership or supervisory role in luxury hotel spa.

  • Extensive hands-on experience in performing various spa treatments such as massages, facials, and body treatments.

  • Education: Certification in massage therapy, aesthetics and other related wellness fields are required.

  • Managerial Skills: Ability to manage and motivate a team, organize work, and delegate effectively.

  • Proven ability to train and mentor staff on treatment protocols and customer service best practices.

  • Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of spa treatments and products, as well as hygiene and safety standards.

  • Commercial Skills: Customer service orientation, sales, and business development skills.

  • Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Book 4 Time, Opera, GXP.

  • Language Skills: Fluent in French and English; a third language is an asset.

  • Personal Qualities: Attention to detail, leadership, organizational skills, good presentation, and excellent communication.
