Eaton Corporation Video Collaboration Engineer in Galesburg, Michigan

Eaton’s IT team is currently seeking a Specialist – Video Collaboration to join team. This position will be based at our Beachwood, Ohio, Moon TWP, PA, Houston, TX, Galesburg, MI, Raleigh, NC or Menomonee Falls, WI. The position is eligible for hybrid work setup.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $105,000 - $154,000 a year.

What you’ll do:

Essential Responsibilities:

• Provides input as a subject matter expert to platform and system design, development, and implementation

• Leads overall effort and works with resources across functions to deliver technology platform, and system solutions to meet customer requirements, providing solution options, making recommendation, and highlighting operational or security risks, as well as providing alternative options

• Defines standards for technologies, platforms, and systems to meet organization requirements

• Leads lifecycle management activities for technology, platform, systems, and related documentation to ensure operational health and security.

• Monitors technology, platform, and systems to ensure required performance, availability, and capacity. Identifies and eliminates gaps in monitoring and potential impact on service delivery.

• Optimize performance, quality, and reliability across different platforms, hardware, and network conditions.

• Follows industry best practices to maximize quality and efficiency

• Consistently utilize key ITIL processes to solve complex cross platform infrastructure issues with in-depth troubleshooting approach and provide most feasible options and recommend best solutions to specified problem including RCA.

• Lead and performs all aspects of collaborations, security, performance-monitoring, tuning, scripting, and maintenance of all production systems

• Responsible to respond to incidents and requests where clients are having issues with collaboration Platform and Licensing.

• Provide thought leadership and hands on support to the governance process, release management, peer reviews, and promote standards across our technical teams. Participate in projects to evolve or implement the new features.

• Collaborate with other technical experts in Unified Communications space to determine standards, governance, administrative controls and policies to make Eaton's collaboration platform secure.

• Works on complex problems where analysis of situations requires in-depth root cause analysis and troubleshooting skills.

• Identify, research, and keep apprised of emerging cloud technologies, solutions, strategies, and developments with the goal of identifying opportunities for their use.

• Introduce industry relevant best practices and improvement opportunities to improve efficiency and proficiency of team. This also includes the responsibility to train new team members that join our team.

• Acts as a focal point for organizing a technical team to drive resolution to a complex problem and communicating status as needed.

• Engage with vendors to understand technology trends and impact on our environment and provide feedback to appropriate stakeholders including management.

• Generate clear and concise documentation in the form of Knowledge Base (KB), process documents, Engineering Standards, FAQ, technical tips etc. Also establish processes and documentation for End Users, Service Desk and other support groups as needed

• Ability to work effectively with and provide guidance to other members of the team

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Cisco/Teams Collaboration Platform

• Minimum 7 years of IT experience

• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.

• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with M365 Admin console.

• Experience with multi-vendor MTR devices including Poly & Cisco

• Experience with end point management & security using Intune.

• Experience with WebEx Control Hub

Skills:

Position Criteria:

• Proven experience of Microsoft M365 suite of applications including Teams, MTR, MTR Pro Management Tool, Conferencing, Live Events. Townhall & Teams Voice

• Understanding of different M365 licenses and applicability

• Knowledge of network configurations, data management, and IT infrastructure that supports video operations.

• Knowledge of streaming platforms, broadcast standards, and distribution networks.

• Good Understanding and Experience of Poly Lens.

• Good Understanding of SIP protocol.

• Advanced knowledge of PowerShell and Graph API.

• Excellent proficiency with the English language (written and verbal). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Requires conceptual thinking to understand complex issues and their implications across organization.

• Advanced in interpreting, explaining and advising on complex information to stakeholders.

• Advanced in thinking and acting strategically to deliver results that impact beyond the immediate work area to achieve annual results.
