Cargill Key Account Manager in Galati, Romania

Job Purpose and Impact

The Key Account Manager will apply the origination strategy for suppliers from Galati and Vaslui counties. This will be achieved by reaching specific objectives, by applying the market access strategy for the assigned suppliers, customer relationship management, account planning and risk management. We are looking for a professional who will develop excellent professional, long-term relationships with customers and suppliers.

Key Accountabilities

  • Negotiates with existing and potential suppliers to meet the objectives given in terms of origination, risk management (if applicable), services related to cargo storage in silos, application of specific sales tools and techniques applicable to the origination activity

  • Drafts and executes customized business plans for both existing and potential suppliers

  • Monitors the activity in the assigned area (identified merchandise flows, price and market expectations of suppliers, trends in crop plans in the area, quantity of merchandise sold and available) and transmits this data to designated colleagues

  • Offers supplier oriented solutions, identifying opportunities to access certain cargo volumes by changing the usual logistics flow

  • Monitors the execution of contracts by designated departments, verifying customer satisfaction and providing assistance, if necessary

  • Ensures that documents (contracts, payment documents etc.) comply with the company's internal procedures and legal provisions

  • Creates and submits weekly/monthly/semester reports on own performance and participates in regular meetings organized with the commercial team.

  • Updates supplier database and records of interactions

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of relevant experience in the agricultural field (grain purchases, sales of inputs)

  • Knowledge of agricultural supply chain and grain trading activities

  • University studies, in the field of agriculture or business/economics

  • Customer relationship management

  • PC skills (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word)

  • Driving license category B

  • Availability to travel on business and drive the company car in this regard

  • Consultative sales skills and excellent negotiation and persuasion skills, results oriented

Preferred Qualifications

  • English language - intermediate level

  • Understanding of price/market developments and ability to explain trends or the action of external factors

  • Exposure to complex processes and procedures specific to grain trading companies.
