Job Description:
This position will perform laboratory testing of human biological samples for diagnostic as well as research purposes. Methodologies for testing include indirect immunofluorescence (IFA), Radioimmunoassay (RIA) and Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).
This position will participate is the overall maintenance of the laboratory operation including supply
inventory audit and purchasing, instrument and equipment maintenance and compliance with all laboratory
policies and procedures.
This position is responsible for all routine documentation associated with the performance of
laboratory testing including reporting of results and the recording of all quality control documentation.
This position will participate with other technologists, in development of tests as defined by the
laboratory director.
Expected Salary:
Salary is between $32.00 - $35.00 per hour
Minimum Requirements:
Licensed or temporarily licensed as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in one of the specialty areas to which the position is allocated and for which the laboratory is licensed under Chapter 483, Florida Statutes, and two years of appropriate experience.
Preferred -Qualifications:- Prior Clinical Laboratory experience.
Knowledge of tests associated with endocrine autoantibodies.
Ability to perform endocrine autoantibody assays.
State of Florida licensure as a medical technician or medical technologist.
Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate and execute scientific experiments.
Ability to use problem solving techniques in the laboratory.
Ability to communicate with collaborative investigations, physicians, nurses and technologists.
Ability to collect and analyze data.
Ability to understand and apply rules, regulations, policies and procedures relating to the Biological
Sciences.
- Knowledge required includes: expertise with computers, multiple laboratory procedures and data
management.
