Position Overview

The Brand Manager will lead our marketing and branding efforts for an innovative Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) product in the hematology/oncology therapeutic area. They will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive brand strategies for the pre-launch, launch, and ongoing brand management activities. Responsibilities include all functional activities related to the launch and marketing of the assigned product, attainment of associated product objectives, and maximization of each commercial opportunity. The position is responsible for contributing to or developing and implementing the all brand and market management strategies, tactics, forecasting, budgeting, branding, positioning, pricing, marketing mix decision-making, creative development/agency management, marketing communications, and lifecycle management. The Brand Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, sales, and medical affairs, to ensure alignment and drive the product's success in the market.

Position Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning : Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and branding strategies for the pre-launch, launch, and post-launch phases of treosulfan.

  • Market Analysis : Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify market opportunities, trends, and threats. Utilize insights to shape marketing strategies and product positioning.

  • Brand Development : Create and maintain a strong brand identity for treosulfan, ensuring consistent messaging across all marketing channels.

  • Campaign Management : Plan and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns, including digital, print, events, and PR, to drive product awareness and adoption.

  • Stakeholder Engagement : Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, patient advocacy groups, and industry influencers, to build strong relationships and drive product advocacy.

  • Content Creation : Oversee the development of high-quality marketing materials, including brochures, presentations, website content, and social media posts.

  • Budget Management : Manage advertising, promotion and general investment budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to maximize ROI.

  • Performance Tracking : Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and utilize analytics tools to measure the effectiveness of brand campaigns, adjusting strategies as necessary to achieve goals.

  • Regulatory Compliance : Work with Regulatory Affairs to ensure all brand activities comply with FDA and industry regulations and ethical standards.

  • Research: Contribute to the completion of all market research needed to make fact-based decisions and measure success, including an annual Brand Plan for the product.

  • Market Segmentation: Create market segment plans covering patients, distribution, managed care, hospitals, long-term care, health care providers, etc.

  • Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with Clinical Development to develop Phase IV plans, studies, and publication plans to broaden claims, usage, and extend product life cycles.

  • Work closely with Manufacturing to ensure the appropriate level of supply of the product.

  • Participate in the project team and coordinate cross-functional efforts to ensure all objectives are met.

Education, Experience & Skill Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required with life sciences and/or business concentration.

  • MBA or advanced degree in a relevant discipline an asset.

  • 5 years sales/brand management experience in bio/pharmaceutical industry with demonstrated progression in responsibilities

  • Minimum of 2 years of brand management experience with a hematology/oncology brand, experience with BMT centers an asset

  • Experience and proven success in building brands and in launching new products

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards in healthcare marketing.

  • Ability to effectively manage senior level relationships across the company.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

  • Creative mindset with the ability to develop innovative brand solutions.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Detail oriented with attention to follow up

  • Ability to contribute and work well in a team environment, as well as work independently with little or no supervision

  • Technical proficiency in MS Office Suite, Design and other marketing programs

Additional Information

Travel : up to 25%

Pay Range: $100,000 - $150,000 annually
