Position Title: Senior Accountant Reports to: Controller FLSA: Exempt, salaried Essential Job Functions: Job Duties: Prepares and reviews monthly financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger, supporting documents and property staff. Prepares and reviews general ledger entries, reconciles balance sheet accounts and maintains work paper files. Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes. Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data. Manages various projects as requested by management. Protects the organization’s value by keeping information confidential. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading detail oriented publications and participating in detail oriented organizations.

Skills and Qualifications:

Strong technical accounting fundamentals Ability to manage auditor requests Project management Attention to detail Confidentiality Verbal and written communication Time management Microsoft office (particularly excel) proficient Experience and Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Three to five years of accounting experience CPA license candidate Public accounting experience preferred Requirements - Current and relevant ERP system experience

• Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment

• Be detailed, flexible, and organized

• 3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience

• Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills highly desired

• Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision

• Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued

• Strong time management skills preferred

• Sharp, analytical thinking abilities, always seeking to draw connections and identify the "why"

• Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines

• Comprehensive knowledge of Corporate Audit

• Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance

• Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

• BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
