Adecco US, Inc. Diesel Mechanic in Frisco, Colorado

Title: Diesel Mechanic

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00/hr DOE

Hours: Shop is open Monday to Sunday, currently running shifts from 6:30 am to 5:00 pm. Growing team to cover seven days a week with 24-hour coverage.

  • Optional (depending on work schedule): Premier access to fresh powder, must be 5" or more and management must approve, but would allow up to 4-hour delay to start workday to hit the slopes for the fresh powder. (Case-by-case scenario)

What you will do:

  • Perform PMI's and resulting repairs in accordance with Client Vehicle Maintenance guidelines and standards on fleet including trucks, vans, passenger buses, and transportation equipment.

  • Troubleshoots, analyzes, repairs, designs, modifies and completes failure analyses on fleet vehicles including, but not limited to, trucks, vans and buses.

  • Reads and interprets hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic system schematics.

  • Is knowledgeable, proficient and can work with minimal supervision in these areas:

  • Troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems, hydrostatic drive systems and hydraulic systems.

  • Troubleshooting and repair of light truck and van computer systems, i.e. emissions, airbags, antilock brakes, etc.

  • Communicates effectively to train co-workers in all maintenance areas of operation.

  • Accountable for accurate and precise recording of daily activities on work orders, indirect labor logs, parts requisitions to be used on the evaluation and administration portion of the department operation.

  • Consults manuals, trade publications, trade associations, vendors, fellow employees, outside schools and training programs in order to stay updated in new maintenance technologies to improve the efficiency and production of our operation.

  • Is accountable for the cleanliness of the work area in order to provide for a safe environment.

  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Responsible for management in one or more of the following areas: (A) tires; (B) paint and body; (C) welding; (D) fuel inventory; (E) lube supplies/hazardous materials; (F) general Shop equipment; and (G) hydraulics.

  • Can assist in the training of Powdr Copper Mountain personnel in the operation of equipment, to include vehicle check-out procedures, equipment use and safety to ensure a knowledgeable and safe staff

  • Can perform minor welding/fabrication projects to include the use of machine shop tools.

  • Assist in the running of the day-to-day operation of the Shop as required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Periodically required to be responsible for Vehicle Maintenance personnel. To provide leadership for assigned junior members of the staff in the absence of the Foreman or Manager.

  • Flexible with hours and days of work. While a schedule is provided, there are times when needs change.

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Pay Details: $35.00 to $45.00 per hour
