Job Purpose

Perform activities associated with all the material handling.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Pull Orders.

  • Package orders.

  • Build packaging.

  • Operate a forklift and be certified on site.

  • Load truck.

  • Unload trucks.

  • Communicate clearly and professionally to all areas of interaction.

  • Housekeeping of shipping area and sweeping of dock area daily

  • Organization of material storage area.

  • 6s, TPEM, and other company sponsored work improvement program support.

  • Assist in cycle counting activities as requested.

  • Complete all necessary paperwork accurately, completely, and in a timely fashion.

  • Perform cut to length functions of material to meet customer specified tolerances.

  • Deliver all next day packages immediately.

  • Operate the UPS computer.

  • Verify all material transfers.

  • Call freight companies for product pick up.

  • Accurately ship products from internal departments.

  • Look up stock in ERP System.

  • Performs ERP confirmations correctly.

  • Verify quality, count, and appearance of all outgoing materials with the goal of catching any unsatisfactory shipments before they leave the plant,

  • Properly record, cut up, and dispose of scrap.

  • Properly operate measuring equipment.

  • Understand all facets of resin transfer, including the transfer station.

  • Organization of and assistance with inventory in extrusion areas

  • Responsible for the cleanliness and organization of outside storage areas

  • Create deliveries and stock transports in ERP System.

  • Correct data errors in the ERP system.

  • Contact Inside and Outside salespeople and correct the issue on their order.

  • Place a maintenance work order in the system.

  • Knows and follows the rail car unload process.

  • Complete knowledge and understanding of specialty label and instructions that are customer specific.

  • Electronic receipt of all shipments in ERP system

  • Creation of international export documentation.

  • Create customer specific ASN’S.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Dispose of Trash: Discard waste streams in their respective locations (wood, metals, chemicals, plastics, recycling, hazards, and non-hazardous waste).

  • Maintains and exceeds department goals.

  • Performs tasks at the request of the supervisor.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of significant EHS&S aspects and impacts and controls in place.

  • Understand your role in the EHS&S process and goals.

  • Follows all safety guidelines/practices, ensures that all safety equipment is in use and functioning, to maintain a safe working environment and safe workflow.

  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures and JSA’s

  • Performs all functions with an attitude of teamwork, cooperativeness, positive thinking, and 100% responsibility.

  • Communicate clearly and professionally to all areas of interaction.

  • Clean and organized work areas and plant, including parking lot.

  • Organization of material storage area.

Knowledge / Skills / Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Must be able to multi-task and plan/prioritize work.

  • Customer focused.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent attendance record.

  • Computer literate.

  • History of safe working behaviors.

  • Basic knowledge of ERP system processing.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive a fork lift.

  • Initiative and self-driven to do what it takes to get the orders out on time.

Pay Transparency (complete highlighted sections)

  • The salary range for this position is $20.44 - $24.85. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
