Position:Office 365 Administrator Reports To:Director of Core Systems and Support Position Type: Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY

This pivotal role involves a broad range of responsibilities centered around the administration, security, and optimization of Office 365 within our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing SharePoint sites, ensuring they meet our business requirements and are user-friendly. A significant part of the role includes training and supporting our staff in leveraging Office 365 tools effectively to enhance productivity and collaboration. This role also extends to the management and maintenance of local Microsoft Office applications, ensuring seamless integration and functionality across our systems.

In addition to specializing in Office 365, the role requires a sound understanding of Microsoft Server systems, storage systems, and general networking principles. The Office365 Administrator will act as a backup to the System Administrator, necessitating a broad knowledge base and versatility in handling a variety of IT infrastructure tasks. We are looking for a proactive individual who can anticipate and address potential issues, provide innovative solutions, and maintain the highest security standards. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in Office 365 administration and a strong commitment to keeping up-to-date with the latest technological advancements in the field.

What does this position do?

Evaluates the impact of decisions to effectively meet business needs and ensure team members have the expertise and resources needed to support the membership. Respond positively to scope changes and curveballs for the good of the organizations future state and member benefit.?This position needs to reflect the business model through identifying friction points and making changes that positively influence the team member and member experience environment.

Who does this position work with to get the job done?

Routinely collaborates with all resource centers to ensure that communication is consistent and that membership needs are met in a timely and efficient manner. Provides flexible and responsive support to the entire workforce in order to produce results year after year.

What does the work from this position produce or generate?

Provides the internal team with the same trio of sales/service/support we all provide to the membership on a daily basis. This position needs to create a team member experience that mirrors our member experience in an operational environment. Provides insight into deepening engagement as well as growth and retention opportunities through research, compilation and reporting for successful strategic and tactical actions. This position also creates and presents reports to/for management, and champions. Consultation with team members to ensure understanding/resolution.

Knowledge Requirements

  • Office 365 Administration: In-depth knowledge of administrating Office 365, including user and license management, security settings, and overall system configuration.

  • SharePoint Design and Management: Proficiency in designing, implementing, and managing SharePoint sites, with an emphasis on creating effective, user-friendly interfaces and workflows.

  • Training and Support: Ability to develop and conduct training sessions for staff on the effective use of Office 365 tools to enhance workplace productivity.

  • Microsoft Office Suite: Comprehensive understanding of local Microsoft Office applications and their integration with Office 365.

  • Microsoft Server Systems: General knowledge of Microsoft Server systems, including configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

  • Storage Systems: Familiarity with different types of storage systems and their integration with Microsoft environments.

  • Networking Fundamentals: Basic understanding of networking principles, including network configuration, security, and troubleshooting.

  • Security Best Practices: Strong grasp of security protocols and best practices, particularly in relation to cloud-based services and Office 365.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to users.

  • Staying Current: Commitment to continuous learning and staying abreast of the latest trends and developments in Office 365 and related technologies.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience

  • 2 - 4 years relevant experience
