Overview

PROJECT MANAGER (BAMC)

Bowhead seeks a Project Manager to join our team in supporting the Department of Logistics Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) in Fort Sam Houston, TX.

Responsibilities

  • The Project Manager shall assist the Government Representative in developing and executing construction projects from concept through final acceptance in support of the BAMC mission. This may include projects that have large and complex scopes, long-range time frames and a high level of impact. Those projects require highly specialized skills, and/or are projects that are multi-agency or enterprise wide.

  • Technical assistance will be required for the following: developing government estimates, providing recommendations on the selection of materials and colors, coordinating with customers, scheduling, quality assurance inspections, review final of “As Built” drawings, providing recommendations to final project acceptance and turnover and assisting in warranty support.

  • Demonstrate the ability to implement knowledge of Army healthcare facility management processes and organizations, as well as standardized US Army facility and installation administrative practices, guidelines, and procedures in order to validate and distill work process/work management studies, implementation, and execution.

  • Assist the Government Representative in collecting and validating existing requirements and preparing supporting materials for BAMC projects.

  • Assist the Government Representative in collecting equipment lists, planning information, and preparing supporting material to analyze equipment requirements of intended to support the replacement of complex medical equipment and biomedical systems and assist in providing facility support services to develop improvements or recommend changes as required to support the current situation and projected requirements.

  • Assist the government representative in documenting tasks, attend staff meetings, and provide status reports/briefings as necessary and will interact with customers in a courteous manner that reflects favorably on BAMC.

  • Must have computer, office automation, and keyboard skills. Intermediate level knowledge of Excel, Word, and email applications.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or a related field or at least five (5+) years of supervisory management and five (5) years in quality, warehousing, and logistics environment.

  • Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 10 to 25 pounds

  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time

  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
