Drafter/CAD Operator IV ( BTES ):

Bowhead seeks a Drafter/CAD Operator IV to join our team in supporting the Department of Logistics Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) contact in Fort Sam Houston, TX.

Responsibilities

Essential functions will include:

• Assists as a resource point of contact to assist Project Managers.

• Provide assistance in the design of construction projects.

• Assist government staff in adjusting current drawings and assist in recommend changes based on their understanding and knowledge of the project.

• Drafting and design Computer-aided design (CADD) drawings.

• Develop and maintain customization of CADD templates and layering standards.

• Follow project schedules. Work closely with government project managers, and project engineers to assist with development of project packages.

• Assist in developing and reviewing Architectural/Engineering (NE) service packages, plans, and specifications for construction projects.

• Assist in the maintenance of the CAD and Draw base drawing libraries.

• Maintain Master construction specifications and drawings.

• Maintain Master Life Safety Drawings.

• Prepare presentation materials using AutoCAD graphic

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or High School diploma or GED and AutoCAD or Autodesk (Autodesk Certified User)

• Minimum 6-months experience with Computer Aid Designed (CAD) programming over the past 5 years.

• 2 years of CAD drafting preferred

• Candidates with additional experience are encouraged to apply

• Solid written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work in a consulting environment on a Team setting

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift up to 10-20 pounds

• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time

• Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
