Summary About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the USAINSCOM Mission Support Command, FOIA/IRR. Responsibilities Serve as the records and information management specialist for the US Army Investigative Records Repository (USAIRR). Maintain File Procurement Accounts (FPA) and File Procurement Officers (FPO) for Army organizations and other Federal Government agencies that routinely requests records from the USAIRR. Perform review of paper and electronic documents submitted for accession by Department of the Army (DA) elements into the US Army Investigative Records Repository. In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience with applying policies and procedures for the overall records management of national security intelligence, counterintelligence, operational, and/or personnel security-related information to prevent the compromise or loss of classified information or material. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-07). To qualify based on your education, you must possess a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position. To qualify based on a combination of education and experience you must have the specialized experience as described above, but less than one year; and have at least one year of graduate education as described above, but less than the required two years. You must compute the percentage of the requirements that you meet, and the total must be at least 100% (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then, divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
