Army National Guard Units TRAINING TECHNICIAN (TITLE 32) in Fort Liberty, North Carolina

Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a TRAINING TECHNICIAN (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D0926000 and is part of the NC 139th REG, National Guard (139 REG/ 1820-029). May be required work night shift will be entitled night shift differential pay IAW OTAGNC Pam 690-1. Responsibilities As a TRAINING TECHNICIAN (TITLE 32), GS-1702-7, you will perform a variety of training duties in connection with the operation of school programs conducted by the training institute. Prepare training calendars to ensure that courses approved in the ARPRINT, which identifies approved training requirements and programs, are conducted in accordance with current regulations. Reviews training and educational material. Provide assistance in the revision of Programs of Instruction (POI) in accordance with proponent guidance. Receive, store, issue and reproduce student training materials. Ensure all students receive text materials for each course. Maintain a roster of instructors and ensures they meet all the necessary requirements to conduct instructing. Prepare various field-training plans. Conduct reconnaissance visits to evaluate suitability of training site. Prepare and submit request and coordinate the use of training areas, ranges, facilities and ammunition forecasting and ordering. Coordinate requests for vehicles, equipment, fuel and other required resources with sources of supply. Ensures classrooms and training areas are available for courses/ programs. Prepare training charts, schematics and graphs as required. Determines common task test (critical task) list requirements for enlisted staff and ensures the materials are issued on time. Establish and maintain the academy functional files for Officer Candidate School (OCS), Non-Commissioned Officer Education System (NCOES), and special schools in accordance with current regulations. Coordinate the preparation of applicable forms for training events of the unit. Assist with testing, course, and instructor certification requirements. Is the primary Army Training Requirements and Resources System (ATRRS) operator for the institute. Ensure management of this system for the approved training program is in accordance with current regulations, guidance, and policies. Ensure administrative data entered in the system is up to date with current proponent and POI requirements. Work with the Training Specialist in the development of class schedules and inputs them into ATRRS. Performs all ATRRS transactions associated with the Training Resource Arbitration Panel process. Produce and analyze ATRRS reports for the Training Administrator and staff. Establishes pinpoint accounts with appropriate publication centers. Determine type and quantity of course material needed and places orders to maintain sufficient stock for each fiscal year based on number of students projected to attend each class. Post changes to regulations and other publications. Fabricate training aids as required. Maintain lesson plan files for OCS, NCOES and Special Schools. Direct classroom arrangement and makes minor modifications as necessary. Maintain a library of publications. Prepare various types routine correspondence relative to training activities. Initiate correspondence with training sites to coordinate use of ranges, facilities, training areas, equipment, etc., pertaining to requirements. Coordinates the acquisition of training materials. Maintain training files such as training schedules and individual training records. Maintain organizational data, table of distribution and allowance (TDA) charts and personnel assignments; prepares requests for change to TDA staff positions. Prepares reports for NGB and other headquarters as required. Utilize word processing and data base management to provide generated reports of statistical data required by the Training Administrator and staff of the institute. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Military Grades: Enlisted (E4 to E6) GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have the education and validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the occupational series and grade. Experiences, education, or training that demonstrated the ability to follow directions, read, understand, and retain instructions, regulations, and procedures that otherwise demonstrates the ability to perform or learn to perform the duties of the position. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 12 months experience equivalent to at least GS-07 and GS-06, respectively. Basic knowledge of Army vision, values, organization, policy, and mission is mandatory. Some knowledge in training centers, training programs, schools, and units. Have some experiences in conducting or developing education and training programs. Also, have some experiences conducting, supervising, or developing education or training programs. Basic understanding in the Army or Air Force education and training policy requirements. Some experiences in working programs to include developmental education, voluntary education, advanced academic education, promotion testing, and libraries. Knowledge is necessary of audio-visual presentation, educational tests and measurements, and instructing techniques. Knowledge of Army education and training programs in regard to their principles, and procedures. Limited experiences in performing interviews and counseling techniques; training techniques and instruction methods; task analysis procedures, learning processes, curriculum development, training evaluations, and education and training systems and products; effective writing skills; editing practices; instructional media application, training reporting, program and curriculum validation, and implementation procedures. Experiences in scheduling training events and facilities; supporting assistance visits and training meetings; or, assisting in work center and individual job qualification standard development; education institution registration requirements; and military personnel classification system and policies. Basic capabilities in communicative interpersonal skill applications and distance learning concepts. Experienced in effective communications. Have some capabilities and experiences in presenting professional courses and briefings; and near proficient capabilities in writing reports and records. Some experiences as a participant and presenter during training and military or civilian conference events.
