SOS International LLC DoDIN Operations Operating Systems Branch Manager in Fort Huachuca, Arizona

SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a DoDIN Operations Operating Systems Branch Manager at Fort Huachuca, AZ in support of a large, mission-critical IT services and support program with continuous (24x7) operations. The DoDIN Operations Operating Branch Manager reports to the DoDIN Operations Division Manager and is responsible for the technical requirements and SLAs associated with operating, maintaining, securing, and sustaining operating systems that support several local and enterprise services.

Essential Job Duties

  • Leads the overall performance for the Active Directory, SYSMAN, UNIX, and WSMT team requirements and SLAs for the mission.

  • Supports the Government by providing underlying Operating Systems, Desktop and Help Desk support.

  • Develops plans and exercises which include tracking the orders process and NETOPS task orders used to promulgate directives from DA and higher headquarters down.

  • Provides coordination, tracking, management, and reporting of exercises.

  • Schedules 24/7 operational oversight, support and maintenance for all managed services residing on the Army’s portion of the DODIN-A.

  • Completes assigned complex or long-term engineering projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines.

  • Leads a group of engineers, analysts, technicians, and/or one or more project engineers assigned for the duration of a project assigned.

  • Assists the DoDIN OPS Division mission to ensure performance and compliance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS).

  • Monitors all devices managed by assuring they are fully mission capable using Government-provided tools, SOPs, and/or manual procedures to verify managed devices for outages, performance issues, and service degradations.

  • Assesses new services, technologies, software tools, and network devices that may improve the abilities to proactively monitor performance, remediate concerns, and offer improvement recommendations.

  • Maintains Continual Process Improvement (CPI) / Continual Service Improvement (CSI) to improve the overall quality of services delivered.

  • Supports Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) requirements by providing support services for the protection, monitoring, analysis, detection, and response to unauthorized activity within the DoD Information Systems and Networks.

  • Follows ITIL best practices to manage tickets and processes.

  • Maintains SOPs, TTPs, and SmartBooks associated with current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned. Participates in special projects as required.

  • Actively collaborates with Government Technical Managers, fellow Branch Chiefs, Division Chiefs, and senior Leadership.

Minimum Requirements

  • Active in scope Secret w/T5 clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, computer science, or relevant discipline AND eight (8) years’ experience (Master's Degree preferred)

  • Experience substitution in lieu of education: Associate degree + 10 years’ experience OR High School Diploma + 12 years’ experience.

  • IAT-II certification (CCNA-Security, CND, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP) or higher is required

  • ITIL foundation certification

  • Knowledgeable in the mission and operational requirements of the U.S. Army

  • Demonstrated understanding of U.S. Army IT operational and technical requirements and Risk Management Framework (RMF)

  • Must be willing to work overtime, after hours, holidays, and weekends, as necessary

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Organizational Management, Telecommunications, Cybersecurity, National Security Strategy, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field

  • IAM Level II Certification (CAP, CASP+ CE, CCISO, CISM, CISSP (or Associate), or GSLC) preferred

  • ITIL v4 certification

  • PMP Certification

  • 3-5 years or more of supervisory experience

  • May require periods of non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends (if applicable)
