The major in Interdisciplinary Liberal Arts in the College of Liberal Arts is a degree program combining humanities, arts, languages, literature, and social sciences so as to foster interdisciplinary knowledge, core career competencies, personal development, professional excellence, interpersonal confidence and expertise, and a deeper understanding of the complex world in which we live.

Position Summary

The College of Liberal Arts Dean’s Office hires part-time Instructors to teach courses for the Interdisciplinary Liberal Arts major. Courses to be taught include research methods, documentary film as a liberal art, world literature, and senior capstone seminars.

Required Job Qualifications

  • MA ( MFA /PhD for Special Assistant Professor titles) and evidence of excellent teaching capability at the college level required.

  • Demonstrated commitment to and evidence of excellence in teaching capability at the college level required.

Preferred Job Qualifications

  • Experience teaching courses related to Interdisciplinary approaches preferred.

  • Ability to advance Department’s commitment to diversity and inclusion through teaching and outreach.
