As an experienced design engineer in Micron's Pathfinding Memory R&D Group, you will be a technical individual contributor responsible for architecture, analysis and design of analog and basic digital circuits and complex mixed-signal blocks of large memory chips. This includes development of novel concepts, design and simulation, optimization and floor planning. Strong analog design skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must. Experience guiding layout a must, hands-on layout a plus. Applicant must be proficient in Cadence tools. Working knowledge of Memory core design, Sense Amplifier design, pitch cell design is preferred.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Contributing to the development of new product opportunities by assisting with the overall design, architecture definition, layout, and optimization of Memory/Analog circuits/Logic.

  • Circuit modeling, sensitivity analyses, and assisting in design validation using industry standard simulators and tools.

  • On silicon test-chips design and required tape-out revisions.

  • Overseeing and managing the layout process including floor-planning, placement, and routing.

  • Working with Marketing, Probe, Assembly, Test, Process Integration, Product Engineering, CAD, and modelling groups to ensure improve the design and quality of products.

  • Driving innovation into the future Memory generations within a dynamic work environment

Qualifications and Skills include, but not limited to:

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) with 5+ years demonstrated ability or a Bachelors degree with 8+ years.

  • Strong working knowledge in analog circuits and custom-logic design skills, circuit modeling, simulation and pre-silicon validation.

  • Understanding of all parts of a Non-Volatile Memory (NVM) design – including analog, array core, sensing, redundancy and high voltage circuits.

  • Understanding of Volatile Memory (VM) designs, with an understanding of how digital circuits interact with a complete design (e.g. DRAM).

  • Working knowledge of Cadence design tools for generating netlists and validating the circuits. Working knowledge with lab equipment, measurement techniques, experiment design, and some statistics.

  • Ability to evaluate circuits layout and provide meaningful feedback and direction to the layout team.

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$95,000.00 - $201,000.00

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.
