Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Pay Rate: $18.00 - $ 20.00

Olsten Staffing is collaborating with a well-established company in the Florence/Darlington area to find a skilled Maintenance Technician. If you possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, we want to hear from you!

Job Description:

The Maintenance Technician will utilize their knowledge of various mechanical systems to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment This role is crucial in ensuring that work is completed efficiently, maintaining production schedules and quality standards. The technician will also assist in training new employees and problem-solving alongside team members.

In addition to equipment maintenance, the technician will handle ground keeping tasks such as mowing grass and assisting with landscaping projects, ensuring the facility is well-maintained.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Work at a safe and productive pace while managing workload efficiently.

• Follow written and verbal instructions accurately.

• Prioritize tasks effectively to meet production goals.

• Adhere to all safety protocols at all times.

• Perform quality repairs on all equipment.

• Be available for overtime and adapt to short notice scheduling.

• Work in various weather conditions, indoors and outdoors.

• Maintain equipment and assist with custodial and janitorial duties as needed.

• Other duties as assigned by management.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Capability to work scheduled shifts, including bending, stooping, walking, and standing for up to 12 hours per day, up to six days a week.

• Ability to work at heights exceeding 6 feet as required.

• Flexibility to work in all weather conditions.

Skills/Qualifications Required:

• Proficient in reading a tape measure down to 1/16".

• Minimum of 10 years of forklift maintenance experience preferred.

• At least 5 years of comprehensive maintenance experience (manufacturing preferred).

• Strong attendance and punctuality record.

• Ability to accurately read basic blueprints and schematics.

• Must possess a current and valid driver's license and not be classified as a high-risk driver according to company standards.

• Ability to work independently without constant supervision.
