City of Flagler Beach Water Plant Operator or Operator Trainee in Flagler Beach, Florida
The City of Flagler Beach has two vacancies to be filled at either the Operator Trainee, Operator C, or Operator B level based on the evaluation of the candidate's qualifications, knowledge, skills and abilities. This position operates, monitors, and maintains equipment and machinery at the water plant and performs a variety of complex duties to ensure a safe and adequate supply of water in accordance with City, Federal and State Standards.
Operator Trainee Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or G.E.D. A valid Florida driver's license. Experience with data entry, basic electric, plumbing and equipment maintenance preferred. Trainee will have eighteen (18) months from hire date to obtain and maintain Water Treatment, Level C Operator Certification issued by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection.
Operator C Minimum Qualifications:High School diploma and one (1) year if work experience in water plant operations. Must possess and maintain State of Florida Department of Environmental Protection Water Treatment Certification, Class C.
Operator B Minimum Qualifications:High School diploma and three (3) years if work experience in water plant operations. Must possess and maintain State of Florida Department of Environmental Protection Water Treatment Certification, Class B.
