Emerson General Ledger Manager in FIORENZUOLA D'ARDA, Italy

Are you passionate about financial data and experience in Accounting? If so, we encourage you to join us as General Ledger Manager , in Fiorenzuola d’Arda (PC).

The General Ledger Manager manages the Financial Reporting process for the Emerson Italy sites (Statutory Accounts under ITA GAAP) and Tax Compliance (VAT, Income Tax, other taxes, in coordination with EY advisors). This function spans across 4 legal entities and 5 different sites (separate HFM codes).

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Coordinate the General Ledger team to ensure timely and accurate reporting for the 5 sites in Italy:

  • filing of annual Italian statutory accounts with local authorities

  • Tax compliance.

  • Ensure Coordination with Emerson Shared Service for US GAAP monthly reporting in HFM and compliance with Accounting standards and Emerson policies (e.g. ICQ, revenue recognition, account reconciliations, etc.)

  • Ensure compliance with Italian GAAP Accounting standards (e.g. statutory accounts, explanatory notes in coordination with EY advisors)

  • Manage compliance of Indirect Taxes (VAT, property tax, other taxes)

  • Supervise resources (3 direct reports), monitor performance, provide feedback

  • Coordinate relationships with management in all sites in Italy

  • Run ad hoc projects to meet Emerson requirements and business needs (Payroll software implementation, other projects, etc.)

  • Cooperate closely with Internal and External Auditors.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • University Degree in Business Administration or Finance;

  • At least 7 years experience in a Finance/ Accounting /Audit role in multinational contest;

  • Good knowledge of US GAAP and ITA GAAP Accounting;

  • Fluent in English;

  • Strong PC skills including Excel, Powerpoint

  • Able to work effectively in complex organization (multi sites / countries);

  • Good leadership and communication skills;

  • Able to interact with high level of management

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • SAP and Hyperion user knowledge a plus
