Role Overview:As a Development and Acquisition Director at Friedman Real Estate, you will play a crucial role in sourcing, evaluating, and closing on high-profile build-to-suit (BTS) projects and industrial acquisition opportunities. More specifically, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with companies and clients in the industrial field, identifying potential development sites and/or buildings for those entities, and assisting with the planning/development process including pre-closing design and entitlement work.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with team members to execute projects and successfully deliver high-profile build-to-suit and land development projects.

  • Secure & respond to build-to-suit or leasing RFPs.

  • Develop and foster relationships with companies and potential clients in order to generate new business opportunities.

  • Identify potential site locations for development or acquisition, conducting thorough research and analysis to determine feasibility and suitability.

  • Actively seek and evaluate acquisition opportunities to expand the company's real estate portfolio.

  • Lead the initial planning/development process, including direction of conceptual design and entitlements .

  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes affecting the industrial real estate sector.

  • Prepare and present reports, proposals, and presentations to internal stakeholders, clients, and partners.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.

  • Proven experience in real estate development, preferably in the industrial sector. Experience with build-to-suit projects or industrial brokerage is highly desirable.

  • Exceptional networking and relationship-building skills to establish connections with potential clients and industry professionals.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to prepare and present reports, proposals, and presentations.

  • Sound analytical and problem-solving abilities,

  • Knowledge of local and regional real estate markets, zoning regulations, and environmental considerations.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines.

  • A proactive and results-oriented mindset, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
