Overview

This client is a worldwide leader in the integration of wheel and tire assembly and test systems. They are a premiere supplier for our clients in the auto industry, specializing in system solutions for OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.

As an Automation you will be responsible for developing, testing, and debugging PLC and HMI programs for automated equipment. Your primary focus will be on investigating and resolving issues associated with assembly automation, workstations, robotics, and other automated equipment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and success of automation systems, while also providing guidance and support during customer installations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and resolve issues related to assembly automation, workstations, robotics, and automated equipment.

  • Design and assist in the hardware design for automated equipment using AutoCAD or EPLAN software

  • Complete drawing markups during the build phase

  • Test new programs for reliability and safety with automation equipment.

  • Troubleshoot hardware and process issues.

  • Oversee and ensure successful customer installations, providing necessary guidance and support.

  • Maintain quality and safety procedures in control systems.

  • Demonstrate expertise in machine controls with a strong mechanical aptitude.

  • Perform and assist with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or comparable training courses/certification in electrical systems, electrical technology, computer science, robotics, or similar field.

  • 2+ years’ experience in industrial automation or controls

  • AutoCAD experience

  • EPLAN experience (a plus)

  • Strong problem-solving, coding, debugging, and troubleshooting skills

  • Ability to read and edit electrical and mechanical schematics.

  • Knowledgeable with robotics, machining, assembly lines, and conveyor systems.

  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to acquire a valid passport.

  • Ability to stand and lift components up to 50 lbs.

  • Able to travel up to 25%

Job Perks:

  • $100/day per diem for time spent away from home

  • Hourly Pay (45-50 hours/week)

  • 1.5x for time worked on Saturdays

  • 2x for time worked on Sundays

  • Full benefit package + annual bonus potential

  • Paid training opportunities

  • Pay range is $30-$50/hour, depending on experience
