Under the direction the of the Receiving Lead, the Receiving Specialist 1 is responsible to transact the day-to-day tasks within the receiving and outside processing (OSP) functions. This receiving position works closely with the lead and others within the department to learn the receiving tasks and will receive frequent technical instruction and assistance. The specialist is responsible for unloading trucks, buying in purchase orders, distributing raw materials to offload suppliers, scanning certifications, and creating work orders and purchase orders. The specialist is responsible for proactively communicating their job progress and any technical stops encountered to their lead to ensure smooth workflows.

  • Official Working Hours: Monday thru Thursday 6:00am-4:30pm

Requirements

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

  • Willing accept work assignments and ensure tasks are completed as expected.

  • Actively support the changing job priorities within the department.

  • Comply with health and safety work rules, use appropriate personal protective equipment, and safely operate the forklift while loading, unloading, and transporting materials.

  • Process material accurately and with full adherence to verify counts and product traceability. Alert the lead when failures are found and assist in resolving them.

  • Process work orders, purchase orders, certifications and other paperwork accurately. Verify that documents are scanned legibly and ensure these processes are completed in compliance to company best practices and work instructions.

  • Ensure that PO pricing and delivery dates are accurate. Escalate those that are not.

  • Willing shift to work on the most urgent tasks first when asked. Volunteer for overtime when needed to stay on time.

  • Comply with SOP's and other forms of standard work documentations.

  • Participate in effective shift meetings that set forth plans and establish work assignments.

  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace. Clean as you go.

  • Accept other duties as assigned.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITIES

  • Comply with receiving and OSP documented processes.

  • Demonstrated ability to precisely complete the rigorous, detailed requirements demanded to ensure the chain of custody is maintained. Comply with the exactness that is demanded by, counting parts, marking parts, verifying PO to Cert accuracy, scanning, and receiving with high levels of accuracy.

  • Exercises fundamental common sense, and sound judgement when making decision. Ask for help when you are unsure of what to do.

  • Demonstrates critical and effective listening skills.

  • Professionally represent the company in communicating with employees, customers, and suppliers.

    QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

  • Proficient using PC applications and software

    DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION

  • Familiarity with aerospace material handling best practices.
