About the Opportunity

The Library Associate -- Teen Services position at Mariner Library will be responsible for making presentations and programming for a teen and tween audience and performing school visits and public presentations in the community. This position serves Voyager Middle School and Mariner High School, which are both located within a few blocks of Mariner Library.

The Mariner Library is a demonstration library located in the Mariner community, which is part of unincorporated Everett in Snohomish County. The community of Mariner is characterized by high population density, a younger population, and a racially and linguistically diverse population. Sno-Isle Libraries opened the Mariner Library as a temporary location in 2017. The community's positive response to the library space led to a series of conversations with local partners to reimagine what a permanent community library could be, leading to the creation of the Mariner Community Campus. The campus is an ongoing collaboration between many local agencies that aim to create a community gathering space.
