GE Aerospace Systems Engineering - Exhaust Integration Lead in Evendale, Ohio

Job Description Summary

The Exhaust Integration Lead will provide leadership for initiatives with broad scope & high business impact. They will be a recognized expert in exhuast design disciplines and communicate across all disciplines. Responsibility includes requirements, guiding new product introduction, and leading implementation of solutions consistent with business & technical objectives. Owns/influences budgets and operating plans. The role is guided by operating policy. Works with cross functional teams. The role has autonomy within the operational area or a segment within a larger business unit. The role may have a major impact on a small business unit or Family within a Function or P&L. High levels of evaluative judgment and operational acumen are required to achieve outcomes.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical and program management leadership in the integration across exhaust disciplines with limited guidance.

  • Develop collaborative system level solutions in concert with the Platform and Systems Integration Leaders

  • Formulate and guide teams toward implementation plans to achieve technical requirements, schedules, and contract commitments.

  • Provide leadership defining test plans that meet program objectives.

  • Provide technical guidance to other personnel and assigned teams, mentor others in the organization.

  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.

  • Monitor and communicate project status, business issues and significant developments

  • Lead or participate in organizational efforts in assigned projects and/or tasks

  • Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews

  • Provide leadership to help focus and integrate new technologies smoothly into NPI programs and production

  • Stay cognizant of the GE Aerospace technology roadmap to determine how pipeline technologies can benefit the platform and communicate to the technology council what technologies will be needed to support a future product

  • Support proposals

  • Support the teams in modernizing design and systems engineering processes with lean tools.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited university or college

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a gas turbine engineering position

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance as a US Citizen
